Yangguang to Pitch U.S. Health IT Company to Chinese Investors
(March 08, 2017) This week, Yangguang presented a US patient navigator service in front of Chinese investors and hospital representatives in Guangzhou, China.
This presentation focused on fundraise for Ori.ai (www.orihealthcare.com), a venture-backed technology startup in Washington, D.C. led by Brett Westphal, one of the creators of music video streaming company VEVO, and Seth Halpern, a US healthcare business expert who helped to launch the social software venture that propelled Barack Obama into the White House.
Yangguang’s service helps US healthcare firms like Ori.ai to gain access to Chinese capital and pave way for these startups to enter the Chinese market.
Organized by Yangguang’s strategic partner, Guangzhou Medical Valley, the event was held at Sun Yat-sen University Innovation Park and attended by 40 representatives from Chinese venture capital funds and hospitals.
Investors and hospital representatives shared insightful comments regarding Chinese hospital business characteristics and offered suggestions on how this US company can best prepare to succeed in China.
